Three Wayne State University alumnae whose achievements rated headlines in the press last year will receive Women of Wayne (WOW) Headliner Awards Saturday, April 25, at the Detroit Golf Club.

Headliner Awards will be presented to Sandra Brown, M.D., (medicine, 1981), director of the Hair and Skin Rejuvenation Clinic in Detroit; Bella Marshall (liberal arts, 1972), president and CEO of Waycor Development Co. of Detroit; and Donna Pendergast (law, 1987), Oakland County assistant prosecutor.

This year WOW also will honor the women members of the Wayne State University Board of Governors: Vernice Davis Anthony, senior vice president of urban and community health, St. John Health System; Diane Dunaskiss, special education teacher in Lake Orion; Elizabeth Hardy, partner, Kienbaum Opperwall Hardy & Pelton; Denise Lewis, partner, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn; and Annetta Miller, former member of the state Board of Education.

In addition, the WOW Service Award will be presented to Joan Wright (education 1957, 1963) of Harper Woods for her significant service to the organization and the university.
