Wayne State University Law Dean Named to Federal Post

The following statement was issued today by Wayne State University President Irvin D. Reid in response to President Clinton's nomination of WSU Law School Dean James Robinson as assistant attorney general for the U.S. Justice Department's Criminal Division:

"The nomination of Wayne State University Law School Dean James Robinson for such an important position in the federal government underscores what we have long known  that Jim possesses great acumen for the law, a comprehensive understanding of legal issues and a widely recognized ability to lead."

"We are grateful for the leadership he has provided to our faculty and students in the past and trust that he will continue to inspire Wayne State students and serve as a source of pride for our almost 200,000 Wayne State University alumni across the United States and abroad."
