International student film festival to screen at Wayne State

One of the world's largest student film festivals, "Nextframe: A Touring Festival of International Student Film and Video," screens 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in 226 Manoogian at Wayne State University.

Featured in the program are 11 short films, which include "Freestyle," from the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School; "Double-Handed," from New York University; "The Wind Subsides," from HFF Konrad Wolf in Germany, and "East 22nd Street," from the Beijing Film Academy.

Nextframe is the world's largest student film and video festival, based at Temple University in Philadelphia. Thirty-seven films and videos from around the world are on tour for a full year visiting college campuses, museums and media arts centers across the country and abroad.

The festival is a project of the University Film and Video Association, composed of teachers, students and professionals in the field of moving images.
