Inkster chef Carreathers directs new Gallery Shop at Wayne State University

A new eating opportunity, the Gallery Shop, opened in the Community Arts Building at Wayne State University in time for the first day of classes, Jan.12.

Gail Carreathers of Inkster is executive chef for the McGregor Memorial Conference Center and the Gallery Shop. She says the menu features daily deliveries of fresh Bagel Factory bagels, freshly baked Otis Spunkemeyer cookies, assorted sandwiches, salads, candy, snack items, and Arrezzio Gourmet flavored coffees.

Mark Braden, director center, says the Gallery Shop is a wonderful way for McGregor to further serve the students, faculty, staff and guests of the university.

"It gives us another `contact point' to provide products and services to the community and enhances the operation of the Community Arts Auditorium and Gallery," says Braden, who also is responsible for the FAB D'Lites operation in the Faculty-Administration Building

The Gallery Shop will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday. Groups using the Community Arts Auditorium may arrange to have the shop open for their event by calling (313) 577-2400.
