The 12th annual Detroit Festival of the Arts scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Sept. 18-20, is open for applicants who wish to perform at the event held in Detroit's University Cultural Center.

The multicultural arts extravaganza boasts street performers and a variety of stages for entertainment including a dance stage, children's fair stage, two main performing stages and a coffee house.

Interested individuals and groups may apply by mailing performance information as well as video and/or musical tape or CD to the University Cultural Center Association, 4735 Cass Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202.

The University Cultural Center Association and Wayne State University produce the Detroit Festival of the Arts.
