The Wayne State University Law School presents the fifth Bernard Gottfried Memorial Labor Law symposium from 8:15 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center.
James K. Robinson, WSU Law School dean; and William C. Schaub Jr., regional director of Region 7, National Labor Relations Board, will offer the opening remarks.
Other speakers include Deborah C. Malamud, University of Michigan Law School; Patrick K. Labadie, NLRB; Ellis Boal, attorney; Robert P. Hunter, Mackinac Center for Public Policy; Linda Rabin Hammell, NLRB; Joseph F. Martin, attorney; John G. Adam, attorney; and Barry J. Kearney, NLRB.
The symposium is named for the former director of Region 7 of the NLRB who taught labor-related courses at the WSU Law School. Proceeds from the symposium will be used for future educational programs and labor law studies.
The WSU Law School; Region Seven, NLRB; and State Bar of Michigan co-sponsor the event.
