Graduate students to host biomedical research day

Graduate students at the School of Medicine have organized a biomedical research day on Friday, Sept. 12. The event will highlight the latest research and technology in the field.

Students will present current research on topics such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis and diabetes, among others.

Also presenting will be Michael Emmert-Buck, an alumnus of the department of pharmacology now with the National Cancer Institute. Emmert-Buck has developed a new technique using laser technology to analyze genes involved in cancer development.
