Registrations are being accepted through Thursday, Aug. 28, for Fall 1997 courses in Wayne State University's Hazardous Waste Control Graduate Certificate sequence. The sequence continues through the Spring/Summer 1998 semester.
Offered on WSU's main campus and at the Oakland Extension Center, the courses include topics like environmental management; laws and regulations; transportation of hazardous materials; emergency spill response; and a variety of elective subjects within the field.
The program also includes a master of science in hazardous waste management and a graduate certificate in environmental auditing. Additionally, the sequence includes courses in environmental information management via the Internet, air pollution control management, and waste treatment technologies. These courses may be taken outside the overall program.
The Hazardous Waste Management program is directed by Ralph Kummler, professor and associate dean of graduate research in the College of Engineering.
