Dr. Norman Foster, an Alzheimer's disease expert, will discuss the debilitating illness during a lecture from 10:45 a.m. to noon Monday, May 19,at the Management Education Center, 811 W. Square Lake Road, Troy. Foster was involved with a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine that indicates mega doses of Vitamin E can help slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Foster is an associate professor in neurology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, one of 23 centers involved in the study.
Foster is an associate research scientist for the Institute of Gerontology at U-M and director of the Michigan Alzheimer Disease Research Center Clinical Core.
