A piano sale sponsored by the Wayne State University music department will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the Schaver Music Building at WSU.
Many of the pianos are institutional instruments, no more than a year old, from the Kawai Piano Co. that were used by students and faculty members. All instruments have been professionally maintained and most carry a 10-year factory warranty.
Additional used, restored and new instruments will be offered during the sale. The selection features pianos in a variety of colors, finishes and styles including studios, uprights, digitals and grands ranging from baby to concert size valued at up to $35,000.
Kawai and its agent, Arnoldt Williams Music, will sell the instruments to the public at prices substantially below regular value. The pianos must be sold in order to deliver new instruments for the next academic year.
