In 1997 Thursdays will be super at the Hilberry Theatre at Wayne State University.
As a special treat, the department of theatre offers a Thursday night ticket package that includes free appetizers and a ticket to a show at the Hilberry Theatre all for only $5.
This is an opportunity to sample one of the finest theatre companies in the country, meet new people, save money and have a great time.
Play selections include the following titles and dates:
· "Time of My Life", Feb. 27;
· "Loot", (Studio Theatre at Hilberry) Feb. 6;
· "The Crucible", Feb. 13, April 24;
· "The Heiress", March 27, April 3; and
· "Broadway", May 1, 15.
Free pre-show hors d'oeuvres will be provided at the Cass Cafe, located just one block from the Hilberry Theatre. The evening starts at 6:30 p.m. and participants will be escorted to the theatre in time to see the 9 p.m. show.
Also participating as sponsors of Super Thursdays are The Metro Times and WDET FM 101.9 Detroit Public Radio. WDET will have a music host with giveaways on the following Super Thursdays: Jan. 30, Feb. 6, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20.
Reservations are required for this special offer. Call the promotions office at (313) 577-3010 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday -Friday. Tickets will be distributed at the Cass Cafe the nights of the shows.
