Matthew Seeger of Dexter, associate professor of communication in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, has been named interim assistant dean of the Graduate School.
Seeger, a faculty member since 1983, has served on the Graduate Council since 1993 as well as on many departmental, college and university committees. He has been a major adviser on more than 20 doctoral committees. He also has worked as a consultant for Kmart and AT&T.
Seeger received a bachelor's degree from the University of Evansville (Ind.) in 1979. He holds a master's degree (1980) from Northern Illinois University and a doctoral degree (1983) from Indiana University.
