Wayne State University President David Adamany will receive the Martin Luther King Jr. Award from Detroit's Plymouth United Church of Christ, 600 East Warren, Jan. 20. Adamany was one of four selected to receive the award, which is presented annually as part of the church's Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

The awards are presented "to persons, churches or organizations that, in our judgment, exemplify best the legacy of Dr. King."

Others to be recognized with Adamany at the 10 a.m. ceremony will be Joann Watson, Sandra Ash and Phil Robinson.
