Michal Halon, M.D., has joined the Department of Neurology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine as an assistant professor.
Dr. Halon joined the department Aug. 1.
He is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of patients with various movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism plus syndromes, tremor, focal and generalized dystonia, Huntington’s disease and other choreas, Tourette’s syndrome, tardive dyskinesia, myoclonus, and other rare disorders associated with abnormal movements.
A native Detroiter, he graduated magna cum laude from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 2013. He received his medical degree from the WSU School of Medicine in 2019 and completed a Neurology residency at the Detroit Medical Center in 2023 after serving as chief resident. He also completed a Movement Disorder fellowship in the WSU Department of Neurology in 2024.
Dr. Halon is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
