FOODA restores meal service in Scott Hall cafeteria

FOODA meal service began bringing restaurant quality meals to Scott Hall last week, offering food selections to the School of Medicine community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program, which restores food service in the Scott Hall cafeteria, was secured by the Office of Dean Mark E. Schweitzer, M.D., as part of the School of Medicine’s “You Said, We Did” campaign. That program solicits feedback from students to consider suggestions and implement possible solutions.

The cafeteria has long been without food service – more recently because of the pandemic – but also because of exorbitant costs to repair equipment necessary to prepare food.

FOODA meal service is available Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The service brings a variety of local restaurant offerings during lunch, allowing students, faculty and staff to purchase lunch without leaving the campus. There are no delivery fees, and prices are comparable to restaurant menu costs.

You can order your meal ahead of time and avoid waiting in line by signing into the FOODA app, selecting your location and ordering your food. Rewards, coupons and subsidies are built into the experience.

View upcoming menus online, download the app and get a $2 coupon to use on your first meal at http://app.fooda.com/accounts/8548/popup/menu_page/P0985362/items
