Recent improvements resulting directly from student input/feedback

You asked, and we did! Based on the direct input of WSU School of Medicine students, we are pleased to announce the recent grand opening of Market Twenty 4 Seven and the addition of multiple hydration stations thought the medical school campus.

Market Twenty 4 Seven: New 24/7 food area at Scott Hall

The WSU School of Medicine is thrilled to announce the grand opening of Market Twenty 4 Seven! This new offering in the Scott Hall cafeteria marks the first-ever 24/7 food venue on Wayne State’s campus.

Fuel up anytime:

As the name suggests, Market Twenty 4 Seven will offer a wide variety of food and beverages around the clock, seven days a week. This is your chance to ditch the traditional vending machines for a healthier, fresher dining experience.

What to expect:

  • Over 1,000 brand-name favorites: Find all your go-to snacks and drinks.
  • Healthy meal options: Fuel your body with nutritious choices.
  • Homemade bakery treats: Indulge in delicious, fresh-baked goodies.
  • Premium beverages: Upgrade your coffee experience with a Total 1 bean-to-cup machine.
  • Self-serve kiosk: Grab what you need and pay quickly with on-the-go checkout.

Cheers to hydration and sustainability: New bottle filling and water fountain stations

As part of the School of Medicine’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and enhancing the wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff, we’ve installed brand-new bottle-filling stations and water fountains throughout the premises.

These stations are conveniently located throughout Scott Hall and the Mazurek Education Commons near elevators, computer labs and common areas, making it easier than ever for all of us to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Here’s why we’re so excited about this wonderful addition:

  • Convenience: No more searching for disposable plastic bottles or waiting in line to fill up your cup! Our new bottle-filling stations offer a quick and hassle-free way to refill your water bottle, whether you're heading to a meeting, returning from a workout, or simply taking a break.
  • Sustainability: By encouraging the use of reusable bottles, we’re taking a significant step towards reducing plastic waste and minimizing our environmental impact. Together, we can make a positive difference for our planet.
  • Health and Wellness: Staying hydrated is essential for our overall health and well-being. With our advanced filtration systems, you can trust that the water from our fountains is clean, refreshing and safe to drink.

We invite you to make use of these new stations and to help spread the word. Let’s embrace this opportunity to support sustainability efforts and promote a healthier lifestyle for ourselves and future generations.

These two major projects were completed based directly on feedback from WSU School of Medicine students.
