A faculty member of the Wayne State University School of Medicine has been recognized for his leading efforts to mentor young researchers in the field of reproductive immunology and ovarian cancer.
Gil Mor, M.D., Ph.D., scientific director of the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, received the Best Mentor Award from the International Society for Immunology and Reproduction.
Congress co-presidents Sanda Blois and Anke Diemert presented the award to Dr. Mor during the 15th World Congress of the International Society for Immunology and Reproduction, held in Hamburg, Germany, last September.
“I feel honored in receiving the recognition of both the national and international societies of reproductive immunology for our contributions on advancing the field of infections and immunological aspects of pregnancy,” said Dr. Mor, the John M. Malone Jr., M.D., Endowed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
