Emma Cermak, M.D., has joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

An assistant professor, she joined the department Aug. 15.

Dr. Cermak previously served as an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Morehouse School of Medicine and at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.

She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Cermak received her bachelor’s degree in 2005 at the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree in 2010 from Case Western Reserve University. She completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
