Aleksey Mishulin, M.D., joins Department of Ophthalmology, Visual and Anatomical Sciences

Aleksey Mishulin, M.D., has joined the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology, Visual and Anatomical Sciences as an assistant professor (clinical).

A 2015 graduate of the WSU School of Medicine, Dr. Mishulin performed his residency at the Kresge Eye Institute, where he now sees patients. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 2010.

A cataract and refractive surgical specialist, he is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and specializes in LASIK, refractive surgery and cataract surgery.

He is a member of the International Ophthalmology Philanthropic Expeditions, SEE International, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Refractive Surgeons Alliance, Eye Connect International, and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Mishulin won the 2019 Marius S. Juzych, M.D., Golden Apple Award for Best Resident Teacher as Voted by Their Peers at the Kresge Eye Institute, the 2018 Advocacy Ambassador to American Academy of Ophthalmology Mid-Year Forum, the 2016 Intern of the Year and the 2015 Dong H. Shin Outstanding Ophthalmology Research Award.
