Jiahui Ding, M.D., Ph.D., joins WSU Obstetrics and Gynecology

Jiahui Ding, M.D., Ph.D., has joined the Wayne State University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development as an assistant professor on the research educator track.

Before her promotion, Dr. Ding had served as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She received her medical degree from the Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wuhan, Hubei, China, in 2013, followed by a master’s degree in science and a doctoral degree from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Tongji Medical College) in Wuhan in 2015 and 2018, respectively. She served as a postgraduate associate and postdoctoral associate in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Yale University School of Medicine before coming to WSU for her postdoctoral fellowship.

A member of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology, Dr. Ding received the Excellent Graduate Award, the Excellent Student Scholarship and the Triple A Outstanding Student Award from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as the first prize in the English Speech Contest at Tongji Medical College.

She has mentored a number of doctoral and medical students, and several high school students, while at WSU.
