The 2022 Biomedical Career Advancement Pipeline Program, a summer research experience for high school students in grades 10 through 12 interested in pursuing health science careers, is accepting applications.
BCAP is a collaborative program between Michigan Area Health Education's Southeast Regional Center hosted by Health Centers Detroit Inc., the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network and Detroit Public Schools Community District. The program was established in 2014 by Jennell White, Ph.D., assistant professor of WSU Pharmacology at WSU School of Medicine. The application deadline is Feb. 14.
The program is seeking mentors to host BCAP summer students. Mentors are eligible to receive up to $500 per student project to purchase supplies to support research efforts.
