Warrior Improvement and Solutions by Engagement program seeks feedback from improvement

Creating a culture of continuous improvement requires an organization to regularly evaluate performance through feedback. The Wayne State University School of Medicine employs several tools to encourage teams and individuals to share ideas. The Warrior Improvement and Solutions by Engagement program is one of those tools.

Managed through the Office of Assessment, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement, the WISE program provides Wayne State University School of Medicine students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to submit suggestions and feedback that may improve the organization. The program serves as a mechanism to:

•    Build a culture of continuous quality improvement through solicitation of feedback and suggestions

•    Build a culture of collaboration and inclusion by working with a diverse group to solve problems

•    Build a culture of change management by working with individuals to make effective and significant improvements within their departments

You will notice flyers posted throughout School of Medicine buildings that contain QR codes. These codes link to a feedback form to submit a request, comment or compliment. It’s easy, and the Office of Assessment, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement will respond to your feedback within 24 hours.

Improvement mechanisms like the WISE program allow the School of Medicine administration to collect, manage and report back to the community on actions and improvements, and are a necessary tool of accreditation and leading our School of Medicine into the future.
