Sabeena Malik, M.D., joins WSU Department of Neurology

Sabeena Malik, M.D., has joined the Wayne State University School of Medicine and Wayne Health as an assistant professor of Neurology.

Her clinical interests include inflammatory neuropathies, myopathies and other neuromuscular conditions. She also has training and an interest in the diagnosis and management of seizures.

Dr. Malik’s research interests include development of diagnostic tools for neuropathies, and inflammatory neuropathies.

Certified by the American Board of Psychology and Neurology, she is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.

Dr. Malik received her medical degree in 2013 from the Shifa College of Medicine at Tameer-e-Millat University in Islamabad, Pakistan. She completed her residency in Neurology at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, followed by a clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Michigan.

She received the Choice Best Teaching Award in 2019, given by WSU medical students for excellence in teaching.
