Wearing a face covering over your nose and mouth is required while on campus at Wayne State University per the coronavirus health and safety guidelines, but some unmasked men and women have been spotted around the School of Medicine. That’s why school leaders conducted a contest encouraging everyone to “Wear a Mask | Be a Mask Influencer.”

The top 10 finalists were selected by a committee of faculty, students and staff.

The top three vote-getters will win an Amazon gift card. The winning ideas will be used in ongoing communication and promotional materials to encourage mask-wearing while on the medical campus.

Until a vaccine is available, the most effective way to protect yourself and others is to be 100% consistent in wearing a face covering at all times in all indoor and outdoor areas on campus. Information on proper use of face coverings is available at the CDC's website.
