The final presentation in the Wayne State University School of Medicine Latino Medical Student Association’s Hispanic Heritage Month speaker series takes place Oct. 15.

Join Migladys Bermudez, J.D., from 4 to 5 p.m. for “Understanding Immigrant Rights.”

Bermudez, the staff attorney for Justice For Our Neighbors, was born in Puerto Rico and raised in southwest Detroit. She has worked for Justice For Our Neighbors since 2014. The organization provides pro bono legal services to vulnerable immigrants in Michigan.

The free presentation will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
