How to participate in the May 18 WSU HeartWalk

There are just eight days remaining until May 18: The day of the Wayne State University HeartWalk, benefiting the American Heart Association.

The School of Medicine has a special responsibility to be front-and-center for this event, which will help fuel the fight against the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. Please help us rise to this challenge!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

•    Join our honor roll! You can help by donating to the School of Medicine/Health Affairs Team. No gift is too small to be generous!

•    You can join a Wayne State University team of your choice, or you can start your own team.

•    WHAT IF YOU’RE NOT A WALKER OR RUNNER? With only a small donation, we’ll promise not to make you move out of your comfort zone.

•    WHAT IF YOU CAN’T BE HERE FOR THE WALK ON MAY 18? No worries… Make a donation. You’ll miss the fun and we’ll miss you!

With your help, we will fight for a future in which parents don’t have to hear that their child has a life-threatening heart defect. A future in which an adult does not have to face uncertain times ahead after receiving a diagnosis of heart disease or suffering from a stroke. A future that we – as School of Medicine employees – are all duty-bound to fight for.

Thank you for all that you do.
