Crain’s magazine names WSU staffer Robert Reaves one of 20 outstanding young leaders

A Wayne State University School of Medicine staff member was included in the 2019 edition of Crain’s Detroit Business’ Twenty in their 20s.

Robert Reaves, director of Institutional Effectiveness for the School of Medicine, is in this year’s cohort, announced this week by the publication.

The annual selection recognizes “outstanding young leaders who are stepping up and making a difference in metro Detroit,” Crain’s wrote. The honorees, selected by Crain’s editorial staff from nominations, were chosen based on professional accomplishments, and nonprofit and civic involvement.

Reaves, 29, joined the School of Medicine in 2016 as an accreditation specialist. He earned his master’s of business administration degree from WSU in 2015. He was named the school’s first director of institutional effectiveness in July 2018.
