Aesculapians' book drive benefits Mercy Education Project

The Aesculapians Honor Society is conducting a book drive to support the Mercy Education Project, an organization that provides one-on-one tutoring, General Education Degree preparation and college readiness programming to women and girls in southwest Detroit.

The Mercy Education Project was selected as the Aesculapians' 2018-2019 charity of the year because members strongly believe in the mission of providing education and literacy access to those in our community. The Aesculapians plan to assist by building a library for the organization.

The book drive will take place Dec. 4-18. Donors can give new books appropriate for readers between the ages of 6 and 18. A donation box is available in the Scott Hall cafeteria.

Donors can also visit the Aesculapians' online wish list to purchase books for the project, which are available at prices starting at $5.
