Dr. Felicity Harper to lead NIH fellowships review panel

Felicity Harper, Ph.D., member of the Population Studies and Disparities Research Program and associate professor in the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Karmanos Cancer Institute has been invited to serve a two-year term as chair of the National Institutes of Health's Risk, Health and Healthcare Fellowships Review Panel.

This panel meets three times a year and reviews fellowship applications, both pre- and post-doctoral, across a broad range of topics in the behavioral, biomedical, statistical and epidemiological sciences.

"This is a wonderful honor for Dr. Harper and signals her national visibility as a highly respected social scientist," said Terrance Albrecht, Ph.D., associate center director and professor of Population Sciences in the Department of Oncology. "Her appointment also reflects back in very positive ways for Karmanos and Wayne State University."
