Community Homeless Interprofessional Program collecting gloves for homeless

With the winter weather kicking into full gear, there are many of those less fortunate who do not have a warm place to stay or means to stay warm.

The Wayne State University Community Homeless Interprofessional Program is collecting donations of gloves that it will distribute to Detroit residents who are homeless this winter break.

Donation boxes are located near the bench in the bench next to the staircase in the Mazurek Education Commons entrance and near the cash register in the Scott Hall cafeteria.

If you do not have a pair of gloves to donate but would still like to help, consider a financial donation (a pair of gloves costs as little as $1) so that the organization may purchase gloves on your behalf. Venmo Chandler Bronkema at @Chandler-Bronkema.

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 14.
