Tiffany Hart appointed grant writer for Office of Medical Education

Tiffany Hart, M.P.H., Ph.D., has been appointed grant writer for the Office of Medical Education at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Richard Baker, M.D., vice dean for Medical Education, announced the appointment Dec. 1.

"Ms. Hart's long history in development, management, evaluation and operations in the nonprofit sector will be beneficial," Vice Dean Baker said. "This is a newly-created position responsible for researching, preparing and submitting grant applications that support programming and new methodologies in medical education, and working with academic administration and faculty to identify and match grants with educational activities and objectives."

Dr. Hart started her tenure with Wayne State University in 2016 as a data abstractor in the Department of Internal Medicine. She has been writing grants and helping organizations receive government, corporate and private foundation funding since the mid-1990s.

She owned a construction company and several consulting companies.
She received her bachelor's degree in Human Development from Michigan State University, and a master's degree in Public Health and doctoral degree in Public Health from Lacrosse University in St. Louis, Mo.
