One-time CV entry service launches for faculty member; training available Nov. 17 and Nov. 20

The Wayne State University School of Medicine has a new partnership with Interfolio, an organization dedicated to helping busy faculty members through smart technology. Specifically, we will use Interfolio's services for faculty activity reporting to assist you in securing merit increases and enhance your stature as a researcher, scholar and/or clinician via service connections and promotional links. Interfolio will re-format faculty CVs to conform with the WSUSOM brand.

The first step includes uploading faculty CVs. By reviewing and making necessary updates to your CV now, before it is uploaded, you can take the best advantage of Interfolio's one-time CV entry service. Updating your CV now - using SOM content headers to help Interfolio with mapping - will also provide you with an opportunity to have new entries, including your 2017 accomplishments, entered. If you wait, you'll need to make changes and additions on your own. To update your CV, please follow the below steps:

1. Update your CV by using SOM content headers. (No need to change chronological order, date column location or similar formatting issues.)

2. As a guide, please look at the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development SOM website for common errors in where to list activities.

3. Send your updated CV to your department administrator no later than Nov. 20, 2017.

Details on the second step of this process are forthcoming. Representatives from the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development can answer any questions regarding your CV update and this new service. Visit the OFA website or attend a training event listed below.

• Friday, Nov. 17 from 3 to 4 p.m. in Margherio at Mazurek Education Commons
• Monday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon in Margherio at Mazurek Education Commons
