Dr. Mattoo named to Pediatrics editorial board

Tej Mattoo, M.D., D.C.H., F.R.C.P., F.A.A.P., professor of Pediatrics for the Wayne State University School of Medicine, has been appointed to the editorial board of the journal Pediatrics.

Dr. Mattoo, the chief of Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension for Children's Hospital of Michigan, will serve through June 30, 2020.

Pediatrics is the primary journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the world's leading pediatrics resource. Pediatrics is the most cited journal in the field of pediatric medicine and among the top 100 most-cited journals in medicine.

"It is a great honor to be on the editorial board of this prestigious journal, which is read all over the world," Dr. Mattoo said.

Dr. Mattoo also serves as section editor for UpToDate, an evidence-based, physician-authored clinical decision support resource published by Wolters Kluwer; editor and founding editor of PREP Nephrology, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics; and is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Nephrology.

He is the founding editor in chief of Synopsis: A Current Survey of World Literature in Pediatrics, founding editor in chief of Self-Assessment Review in Pediatric Nephrology and a former guest editor of Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease.
