"When considering care for the underserved population, more than half of providers are family physicians, with Internal Medicine and Pediatrics contributing 19 percent and 15 percent respectively.  The high demand for Family Medicine is reflected in recruitment for the specialty. Family Medicine is the highest recruited specialty for the tenth consecutive year, with salaries rising steadily," Dr. Chadwell added.
