School of Medicine celebrates ethnic diversity week of March 21

The Wayne State University School of Medicine will celebrate the many ethnicities of the students and faculty during annual Ethnic Week, set for the Week of March 21.

The week includes a full slate of events, culminating with the popular Ethnic Fair, during which students and faculty will have the opportunity to sample foods, culture and entertainment from around the world.

The full schedule for Ethnic Week is below:

March 21 -- Rabbi Herbert Yoskowitz will present "Medical Ethics in Europe during the Holocaust" from noon to 1 p.m. in Conference Room 1328 in Scott Hall.

March 22 -- Amigos Medicos will present "'Hola!' Caring for the Latino Patient" from noon to 1 p.m. in Conference Room 1328 in Scott Hall.

March 23 -- The National Arab American Medical Association will discuss the Syrian American Rescue Network from noon to 1 p.m. in Conference Room 1328 in Scott Hall.

March 24 -- Fayrouz Saad, director of Immigrant Affairs for the Detroit Mayor's Office, will discuss the rich ethnic heritage of the city from noon to 1 p.m. in the Green Lecture Hall in Scott Hall.

March 25 -- World Health Student Organization students will discuss "Health Care in Haiti" in the Magherio Family Conference Center from noon to 1 p.m.

March 25 -- Clinical Medicine will present "Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Care" from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Jaffar Lecture Hall in Scott Hall.

March 25 - The Ethnic Fair will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Scott Hall cafeteria.
