The Wayne State University School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology recently announced the winners of the poster presentation for "Wayne Day 2015: Current Concepts in Infectious Diseases For the Obstetrician and Gynecologist," the department's annual Kamran S. Moghissi, M.D., Lecture and Conference.
The winners are:
First place - Luis Martinez-Hoyos, M.D., Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at the Detroit Medical Center-Wayne State University, for "Optimal Delivery Mode in Singleton Pregnancies Conceived After Infertility Treatment: Is the 'Precious Baby' Effect Justified?
Second place - Mokerrum Malik, M.D., Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at the Detroit Medical Center-Wayne State University, for "Does Morbid Obesity Influence the Outcome of Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy When Treated with Capped Single-Dose Regimen Methotrexate?"
Molly Estill, M.S., graduate research assistant in the WSU Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics, for "Non-Targeted RNA-Seq Data Mining Reveals A Unique Human Sperm Associated Microbiome."
The conference took place Dec. 8 at the Greektown Hotel and Conference Center.
