Kevin Grady, M.D., Class of 1981, has been named chief medical officer for St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit.

Dr. Grady had been serving as interim chief medical officer since June 2012. He replaces Michael Haynes, M.D., who retired.

He has served as president of the medical staff, a member of the St. John Providence Health System Board, director of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care at St. John Hospital, chair of the Care Design Committee for St. John Providence Health System and medical director of the St. John Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. Grady joined the St. John Hospital and Medical Center in 1986 after a residency with Beaumont Hospital and a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine/Critical Care at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
