Robert Ross, M.D., professor of Pediatrics at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, gave the plenary lecture to open the 2012 Pediatric Heart Failure Summit, held in conjunction with the 15th annual International Toronto Heart Summit.
Dr. Ross, who also serves as a pediatric cardiologist and director of Fellowship Programs and the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Children's Hospital of Michigan, presented "The Ross Score 25 Years on: Are We Any Better at Recognizing Pediatric Heart Failure?" on June 6.
Dr. Ross developed the "Ross Classification" of heart failure in infants and children, which provided a global assessment of heart failure.
