Neurology for the Non-Neurologist Conference set for Oct. 15

The Wayne State University School of Medicine's Department of Neurology will present the 10th annual Neurology for the Non-Neurologist Conference in October.

Set for Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the conference will take place at the Somerset Inn in Troy, Mich.

Topics include "Current Diagnosis and Treatment for Epilepsy," "Multiple Sclerosis - What's New," "Etiologies and Management of Pain in Neuropathies," "Update in Parkinson's Disease and Other Movement Disorders" and "The Latest in Stroke Management."

Speakers include:

Marie Atkinson, M.D., assistant professor of Neurology and the Wayne State University-Detroit Medical Center Comprehensive Epilepsy Program
Benjamin Atkinson, M.D., assistant professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and fellowship director of Neuro Intensive Care Unit and Neurotrauma for the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
John Kamholz, M.D., Ph.D., professor of Neurology and director of the Neurogenetics Program for the Wayne State University School of Medicine
Sindu Ramchandren, M.D., M.S., assistant professor of Neurology for the Wayne State University School of Medicine
Mary Shaya, M.D., assistant professor of Neurology for the Wayne State University School of Medicine
