Students, faculty and alumni of the Wayne State University School of Medicine will celebrate the ethnic diversity of the campus during this week's annual Ethnic Fair, scheduled for Nov. 5.
Student groups will provide the food of their culture as well as perform dances or music of their ethnicity. Some food will be catered and some student groups bring in professional performers to provide music or demonstrate dance steps. At least 10 different ethnicities and cultures, including Asian, Indian, African and Arabic, will be represented.
The fair will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria in Scott Hall.
The event, including a raffle for gift cards to eateries around the campus, is free and open to all, thanks to the support of the School of Medicine's Alumni Association.
