Glen M. Byers, M.D., D.D.S., (Class of 1966), died June 4, 2008. He was 71.

Dr. Byers earned his degree in dentistry at the University of Michigan. He then graduated from Wayne State University with a medical degree specializing in otolaryngology. In 1987, he earned his law degree at the Nashville School of Law. In 2004 Dr. Byers attended Lee University and earned his master's degree in education.

Dr. Byers started his medical practice in Cleveland in 1973. He was a staff member at Bradley Memorial and Cleveland Community Hospitals. During his retirement he worked with Cleveland Care Clinic and Physicians Plus.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Tammy (Leslie Milligan); daughters, Kim Brett, and Pamela (Chad Williams); son, Scott (Robyn) Byers; grandchildren, Lauren Brett, Ozzy Milligan, Chase Brett, Bailey Byers, Breton Williams, Caden Byers, Cale Williams and Paulina Williams; step-grandchildren, John Milligan, Katherine Milligan Dodson and Jennifer Milligan; sisters, Shirley (John Hearnsberger), Helen Byers Brown, Brenda (Harry Smith), Alwayna (Bill Hixon) and Linda (Michael Bernard).
