Arthur E. Schultz, M.D., (Class of 1943), of Tallahassee, Fla., and formerly of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Okemos, Mich., died Aug. 26, 2008, in Newport, R.I. He was 91.
Dr. Schultz was an ophthalmological surgeon, practicing in East Lansing, Mich., for 30 years and served as president of the Michigan Ophthalmological Society.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn (George Bates) of Tallahassee, Fla.; Betty Ann Czech (Ted) of Portsmouth, R.I.; Fritz Schultz (Susan) of Corydon, Ind.; Dr. Will Schultz (Ingrid) of Okemos, Mich.; Marilyn Bessette of Olympia, Wash.; Dick Schultz (Cathie) of Culebra, Puerto Rico, Art Schultz of East Lansing, Mich.; and Tom Schultz (Jasmine) of Reston, Va. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kralik Schultz.
