Don't reply to 'phishing' messages
"Phishing," or attempts to trick email users into releasing financial information, has been reported recently on the WSU School of Medicine campus. For security and privacy, users should never reply to an email message requesting financial information, regardless of how legitimate the message may seem. The emails are designed to look like they come from a bank, credit card or other institution and will include links to websites that look legitimate. If you are concerned about your financial information, contact your baking or credit-card institutions directly, in a browser you open yourself or via a telephone number provided by your institutions.
