Research: AAMC-CDC grants; GrantsNet Newsletter

New grants available through AAMC-CDC funding agreement
New research funding opportunities have been announced through a joint program between the Association of American Medical Colleges and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Funding in support of several potential extramural projects will be provided through the AAMC-CDC Cooperative Agreement. In addition to the research- and non-research-based extramural projects, funding is also available for non-research-based investigator-initiated projects. Letters of intent should be submitted to the AAMC by March 18. The CDC has not yet released application submission instructions. It is anticipated that applications will be due by April 20. In order to receive funding through the AAMC-CDC Cooperative Agreement, the principal investigator must be on the staff of an AAMC-member medical school, teaching hospital or academic society.
