The Department of Health and Human Services has extended the deadline
for comments on a request for information about research and other activities that may contribute to the development of personalized health care. The new deadline is Feb. 5. In a memorandum sent Dec. 8, the AAMC encouraged members to review the request and to help the department identify research programs, infrastructure, and resources that may someday provide physicians with better tools to tailor health care to the inherent variations among individual patients.
