Stoltman appointed interim VP for marketing, communications

Wayne State University is conducting a national search to replace Steve Brown, associate vice president, Office of Marketing and Communications, who left the university last month.  In the meantime, Jeffrey Stoltman, associate professor, Department of Marketing, School of Business Administration, will serve as interim AVP. A former vice president for Marketing and Communications at Wayne State, Stoltman will assume his duties immediately.

Stoltman has been a Wayne State faculty member since 1988, taught core courses in the MBA program and worked as a consultant with more than 200 firms. His research interests include relationship marketing, marketing in higher education, consumer behavior and decision-making skills. As vice president for marketing and communications from 1997 to 2001, Stoltman restructured and refocused the marketing function at Wayne State.  He holds a Ph.D. in applied social psychology from Syracuse University. Before joining Wayne State, he was on the faculty of the University of Nebraska and taught at Syracuse University.
