Hospital participation needed for survey project on health-care equality

The Human Rights Campaign in Washington, D.C., is seeking participants for a new survey and analysis of hospitals called the Healthcare Equality Index. The survey focuses on hospital policies related to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender patients. The Human Rights Campaign will gather data on topics such as nondiscrimination policies, cultural competency training and recognition of families that are headed by same-sex couples. Hospital representatives are asked to complete the survey by Jan. 31. For more information, please visit http://www.hrc.org/hei.
