WSU Alumni Association: Casting call; Alumni Awards nominations

"Apprentice" seeks WSU alumni
NBC is looking for WSU alumni who would like to apply to compete on the reality TV show "The Apprentice." To participate, applicants must be WSU alumni. Casting directors will be meeting with candidates at the WSU Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3. All those interested must fill out an application by visiting www.nbc.com. The application must be brought to the casting call, however a video tape referenced in the application is not required.

Association seeks nominations for awards
The Wayne State University Alumni Association is seeking nominations for several alumni awards, including:

  • the Distinguished Alumni Award for outstanding service or achievement;
  • the Homer D. Strong Award for leadership and service to the alumni association and the university;
  • the Recent Alumni Award for graduates of the past 10 years with outstanding achievement; and
  • the Faculty Service Award for faculty whose professional or civic efforts bring a greater appreciation of the university's contributions to the community.
