RIM offers magnetic treatment for incontinence
The Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, practice site for the WSU Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is offering non-invasive therapy for treatment of mild to moderate incontinence in women. The NeoControl magnetic chair is used by prescription only and is FDA approved. A typical course of treatment requires women to visit the Physician Outpatient Clinic at RIM twice a week for eight weeks. Each session lasts about 20 minutes. Those who are pregnant or have a history of cancer, metal in the pelvic area, a cardiac pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator are not eligible for this treatment. For more information, please call (313) 745-2231.
