BCBSM Foundation seeks grant submissions
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation seeks nominations for its Frank J. McDevitt, D.O., Excellence in Research Awards for Health Services, Policy & Clinical Care. The program recognizes research that contributes to improving health and medical care in Michigan. The foundation will award $10,000 for unrestricted research to physician and doctoral-level researchers for research on health policy, health services and clinical care. Submissions to the health policy or health services research categories should focus on public health, the financing and organization of health services, population health, reimbursement or resource allocation. Submissions to the clinical care category should focus on outcomes, clinical effectiveness or clinical protocol research. Submissions of basic biomedical research are not encouraged. All nominations are due Jan. 1.
